The Co-operative Food Exchange of Altadena (CofeA) will hold its next crop swap on Sun., June 27 at 6 PM at the north end of Farnsworth Park on Mt. Curve. 

CofeA is a group of urban farmers who share their produce with each other .  The public is invited to the crop swap —

The relay run travels throughout Los Angeles County, reaching each sheriff’s station, where the torch is passed on to runners from that station. The relay will culminate at Altadena Sheriff’s Station, 780 E.

Found a female puppy 8 PM on May 20 near Farnsworth Park.  Female, about 25 lbs.  Very sweet.  I hung posters around the area but no calls yet.  Call 818-802-5222 if this is your puppy.

Sheriff Lt. Sheila Sanchez said that an alert neighbor telephoned in a report of suspicious activities at the residence, “which led deputies to intercept burglars in the act of their crime.”

One suspect was caught immediately and the other contained in the perimeter set up by deputies and subsequently arrested.

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich will host the 13th annual "Remembering Our Veterans and their Families" celebration on Sat., May 29, at Arcadia County Park, 405 S. Santa Anita Ave., in Arcadia, from 10 AM-3 PM.
