  • There is only one action item to report from the Altadena Town Council meeting on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.  Jim Osterling of the Community Standards District committee stated that the Town Council had been presented with the final draft of the residential standards.  The Town Council voted to send the draft with a cover letter to Los Angeles County so it can be considered by the Department of Regional Planning.  This will start the process of moving the recommendations through various County agencies.
  • Council chair Diane Marcussen reported on an item of interest concerning the vacant lot on Lake and Calaveras.  She said that recent activity on the property is permitted work to shore up a retaining wall.  The plot permit for building is being worked out with Los Angeles County.  She said that the owner of the property has no legal obligation to tell the Council what company he is negotiating with, but if the business wants to sell alcohol it will come before the Town Council and will require a CUP.
  • Councilmember Damon Hobdy has been appointed by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich to serve on Collaborate PASadena[sic], a framework for the Pasadena Unified School District, City of Pasadena and community partners to work together to serve children and families.
