Shoppers at Ross Dress For Less in Pasadena will have the opportunity to support the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena this month through the company’s “Open the Door to Great Futures” campaign.

Through February 28, customers at Ross will be asked to make a donation to the Pasadena Club at the register.  Customers can make a gift in any amount, and those who donate $10 or more will receive a Boys & Girls Club wristband. Ross will also be matching donations at the register up to $350,000.

Proceeds from the in-store giving campaign, which has partnered Ross stores with Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the country, will support the Club’s “Power Hour” program. Power Hour offers a structured time and place for Club staff and volunteers to help members complete their homework and start each school day better prepared and with a sense of confidence and competence.

Both Ross stores in Pasadena are participating in this campaign with the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena. The stores are located at 460 S. Lake Avenue in the Lake Avenue shopping district, and at 3425 E. Foothill Blvd. in Hastings Ranch.

Ross Dress for Less counts more than 1,200 locations across the country and offers off-price name brand and designer apparel, accessories, footwear and home fashions.

The Boys & Girls Club operates two sites in Pasadena—the Slavik Branch at 3230 East Del Mar Blvd. and the Mackenzie-Scott Branch at 2020 North Fair Oaks Ave.—and serves more than 3,500 community youth year-round from Pasadena and the nearby communities of South Pasadena, Alhambra, San Marino, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, La Canada, La Crescenta, Montrose, and Glendale.

Since 1937, the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena has been to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Club promotes the health, education, social, vocational, and character development of boys and girls, ages 6 to 18, and helps improve the lives of these children by helping them build self-assurance and develop leadership skills while reinforcing positive values.
