Pasadena Senior Games at L.A. venues June 7-29

The public is invited to watch athletes 50 and older compete in the Pasadena Senior Games at venues throughout the greater Los Angeles area. There is no charge for spectators.

With more than 30 competitive events from archery to volleyball, the Pasadena Senior Games are ongoing through June 29.

These are the Southern California qualifying events for the California Senior Games Championships. The National Senior Games are scheduled for summer 2015 in Minnesota.

Saturday, June 7, at 7:30 a.m. – Track and field at Caltech, 1200 E. California Blvd. in Pasadena.

Saturday, June 7, at 8:30 a.m. – 1,500- and 5,000-meter race walk at Caltech track, 1200 E. California Blvd. in Pasadena.

Saturday, June 7, at 12:30 p.m. – 1,500-meter power walking at Caltech track, 1200 E. California Blvd. in Pasadena.

Saturday, June 7, at 1 p.m. – 300-round archery at Woodley Park, 6350 Woodley Ave. in Van Nuys.

Sunday, June 8, at 8 a.m. – Men’s basketball shooting at Patterson Gymnasium, Pasadena City College, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena.

Sunday, June 8, at 9 a.m. – 900-round archery at Woodley Park, 6350 Woodley Ave. in Van Nuys.

Sunday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Men’s basketball 3-on-3 tournament at Pasadena City College Gymnasium, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena.

Sunday, June 8, at 10 a.m. – Golf tournament at Brookside Golf Club, 1133 Rosemont Ave. in Pasadena.

Sunday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Rope climb, pull-ups and strength challenge at Club Champion Gymnastics, 145 Vista Ave. in Pasadena.

Thursday, June 12, at 8:30 a.m. – Shuffleboard tournament at Highland Park Senior Citizen Center, 6152 N. Figueroa Blvd. in Los Angeles.

Friday, June 13, at 8:30 a.m. – Shuffleboard tournament at Hghland Park Senior Citizen Center, 6152 N. Figueroa Blvd. in Los Angeles.

Saturday, June 14, at 9 a.m. – Push-ups at Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St. in Pasadena.

Saturday, June 14, at 9 a.m. – Table tennis tournament at Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St. in Pasadena.

Saturday, June 14, at 10 a.m. – Billiards tournament at Fantasia Billiards, 131 N. San Fernando Blvd. in Burbank.

Tuesday, June 17, at 9 a.m. – 5K cycling time trials and 40K road race at El Dorado East Regional Park, 7550 E. Spring St. in Long Beach.

Wednesday, June 18, at 9 a.m. – 10K cycling time trials and 20K road race at El Dorado East Regional Park, 7550 E. Spring St. in Long Beach.

Saturday, June 21, at 8 a.m. – Disc golf at Hahamongna Watershed Park (formerly Oak Grove Park), Oak Grove Drive at Foothill Boulevard in Pasadena.

Saturday, June 21, at 8 a.m. – Women’s basketball shooting at Patterson Gymnasium, Pasadena City College, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena.

Saturday, June 21, at 8:30 a.m. – Lawn bowling tournament at Central Park, 275 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena.
