“Open Studios” is a day to celebrate art

Artists from Altadena and beyond are holding an “Open Studios” art tour, a day where retail stores and artist’s studios will be open to the public to view and purchase their work in a wide variety of media.

Open Studio will take place on Sunday, June 1, from 10 AM-5 PM.

Four local businesses will have displays from some of the artists and will have maps available with the location of the studios that are part of the tour.

Participating retailers and their artists are:

Hoopla, 2591 Fair Oaks Ave, Altadena: Nina Ehlig /Body Adornment Artist ,Anne Louise Bannon /Soap Maker, Karen Bagnard/Watercolor Artist, Kate Carvellas/ Collage Artist

Perry’s Joint, 2051 Lincoln Ave, Pasadena: Fawn Stewart / Industrial Photographer, Patricia Woodlin /Visual Artist

Merge, 928 E Altadena Dr, Altadena: Andrew Robinson/Graphic Novel illustrator and mixed Media Artist

Sidewalk Café HTC, 2057 N Los Robles Ave, Pasadena: Stephen G. Baldry/Multimedia Artist; Ginko Ching Lee /Story Illustrator; Gail Buschman /Story Illustrator; Carole Kim /Live Video Performer
