Odds and ends we’ve come across in the past few days:

  • KCET reports that Hahamongna activists have resorted to crowdfunding to launch a lawsuit against the “Big Dig” plan to clear out the Devil’s Gate basin.  KCET has a full story here.
  • The Altadena Farmers’ Market welcomes back Rice and Beans to the market today, and essential oils from Pine Street Products.  It’ll be a great day to go to the market, which runs from 3-7 PM today at Loma Alta Park, Lincoln Avenue and Palm Street.
  • AltadenaPoint sponsor Hoopla! welcomes the newly expanded line of World Flavorz Spice & Tea Company to their shelves.  Lots of locally-sourced food items for your Valentine at Hoopla, 2591 N. Fair Oaks Avenue.
  • Here’s a Black history Month event for you:  the John Muir High School Alumni Drum Corps and the JMHS Dance & Step Team will have wonderful dance and drum performances this Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at the Altadena Main Library parking lot, from 10:30 AM-noon, 600 E. Mariposa Street
