The Altadena Library Teen Advisory Council (TAC) is composed of teens ages 12-17 who provide vital feedback, creativity, and assistance under the direction of the Teen Librarian. Members can earn volunteer credit and make a difference by attending monthly meetings, helping to plan events, recommending purchases for the collection, writing reviews, helping design library displays and artwork, and assisting at library events for children and teens.

This is an excellent way to get hands-on job experience! Snacks are provided, and we cap off our meetings with a friendly game of Apples to Apples or Headbands.

This program is free and generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library. We meet at the Main Library in the Barbara J. Pearson Community Room.

Stop by the Youth Services reference desk for an application or print out the application below.

Contact Carrie Wilson, Teen Librarian, for details at cwilson@altadenalibrary.org

The first meeting of the year is Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at 4 PM.
