“How to Get Appointed to Boards and Commissions” at the Library

The League of Women Voters and the National Women’s Political Caucus are holding a “How to Get Appointed to Local Boards and Commissions” training session on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, in the Community Room of the Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa Street, from 6-8 PM.

Library Board member Meredith McKenzie will moderate a panel of experts, which includes Kathryn Barger, Deputy Supervisor for Mike Antonovich, Cynthia Kurtz, former City of Pasadena City Manager and current City of Pasadena appointee to the Metropolitan Water District of So Calif Board of Directors, and Ann Erdman, former City of Pasadena Public Information Officer and community liaison to a number of local commissions.

There will be light refreshments at 6 PM, featuring tacos from El Patron. There is a $25 tuition fee for materials and the event is open to all interested parties, including men.
