Foothill Municipal Water District (Foothill) is conducting its fourth annual K-12 student art contest with the theme of competition adhering to the phrase: “Water Is Life”.  This is a fun and educational project that serves to inspire student creativity while considering the stewardship of our precious water resources. The contest is open to all students K-12, attending a school located within the service area of a member water agency that Foothill serves.  Art must be submitted on 12” x 18” white poster board or drawing paper with a one-inch white or blank border left on all four sides of the art.  Entries may use the following art media: crayons, markers, pencil, paints, watercolors, pastels, cut paper, or fabric.  Photography or computer generated artwork is not permitted.

The grand prize winning entry will receive $150 for the student and a $100 gift card for the sponsoring teacher.  This event is co-sponsored by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) as all winning entries fielded by this contest will be submitted to MWD for a second round of competition to be included in the 2016 “Water Is Life” Student Artwork Calendar.
