Billy Malone
Altadena Town Councilman and Chamber of Commerce board member Billy Malone has announced that he is running for Fifth District Supervisor.
The seat is currently held by Michael D. Antonovich, who will term out next year, Malone joins Antonovich’s chief of staff Kathryn Barger in seeking the seat.
Malone is taking as a slogan, “Preserve LA,” which he defines in his announcement as:
[M]ake it what it should be while respecting and conserving what it once was, and with that comes success, success with strong long-term financial stability. With that comes the power to fund our social programs, support our public schools, and fix our infrastructure for the long term, rather than using an instant band aide [sic]
The priorities of any LA County Supervisor must include plans for the measured economic and social development of our community as well as the preservation and protection of our cultural, natural, and historical heritage. We can do both!
Malone is an Altadena-based real estate broker and member of the town council. He is also the current vice-president of the Altadena Chamber of Commerce. Malone is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, the California Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors, and a member of the Unite Here Local 11 union.
