“Kathryn is a strong leader with the experience, qualifications, and good judgment to meet the needs of the communities in our District, and successfully serve as County Supervisor. She needs no on-the-job training, having worked closely with me for nearly three decades to solve complex County issues that directly impact our neighborhoods. She shares my commitment to responsive and effective constituent services, and has built solid working relationships with many of our residents and local community leaders. She is dedicated to continuing to work closely with the town councils, the city councils, and other organizations throughout the Fifth District. Equally important, she shares my highest priorities of public safety, fiscal responsibility and the needs of our most vulnerable abused children, veterans and seniors.”
Kathryn Barger has served as Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich’s Chief of Staff since 2001. She began her career in County service as an intern for the Supervisor in 1981 and was hired as his Deputy in 1989. She comes from a family with deep roots in the Fifth District and a long distinguished record of public service.
