Altadena scholars recognized

Jessica Whittle of Altadena received a Master of Business Administration degree in financial planning from California Lutheran University in December. Whittle is eligible to participate in the 2014 Graduate Commencement Ceremony on May 16.
Emerson College student Robert Fraser of Altadena, a Film Production major, has been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2013 semester. The criterion to make Emerson’s Dean’s List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
Altadena, CA resident and Azusa Pacific University student Maren Plog made the academic Deans’ List at APU. Plog is honored for a fall semester 2013 academic standing of a 3.5 or better grade-point average. Plog is joined by 1,774 other students receiving the same honor.
Christina Acosta, a resident of Altadena, CA received the Award of Merit at the 24th Annual SMU Multicultural Academic Achievement Ceremony. The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs recognizes the academic achievement of minority students who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. To be recognized with the Award of Merit, a student must have a grade point average of 3.0-3.49.
Caraline Dirks and Taylor Dirks of Altadena were among 1,594 students named to Biola University’s Fall 2013 Dean’s List for academic excellence. Biola students are placed on the Deans’ List to honor those with a grade point average of 3.6 or higher while enrolled in twelve of more credit units and whose cumulative grade point average is at least a 3.2. This past fall, 25% of Biola students achieved this academic goal.
