A man checking on the house of his recently deceased father encountered trespassers and called police Thursday, February 5, 2015, leading to the arrest of three Altadena men.

Pasadena police Sergeant Robert Tucker said the incident occurred in the 2300 block of Las Lunas Street. Arriving officers questioned the trio, and discovered the car they had driven to the location was reported stolen in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Taken into custody were Porfirio Guerrero, 23; Maria Ortega-Velasquez, 21; and Carla Garcia, 20. All three are Altadena residents, Tucker said.

They were booked for vehicle theft, Tucker said.
