Free Breast Cancer Survivorship Program Opens Registration With April 14 Deadline

Pasadena-founded organization offers eight weeks of clinician-led support, exercise, and workshops at no cost
Registration is open through April 14 for a free, eight-week breast cancer survivorship program offered by Cancer Support Community Greater San Gabriel Valley in partnership with City of Hope, according to a press release from the organization.
The Spring 2026 “Return to Wellness” program, which runs April 21 through June 11 at CSC SGV’s Sierra Madre location, is designed for breast cancer survivors between six weeks and two years post-treatment.
The organization, founded in Pasadena in 1990 and based there for more than three decades before moving to Sierra Madre in 2023, describes the program as addressing the gap between the end of active treatment and long-term wellness. The session concludes with a celebration dinner hosted by The Langham Huntington, Pasadena.
Sessions meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., according to the press release. Tuesday programming includes a clinician-led support group and exercise and strength-training class. Thursday sessions feature educational workshops on nutrition, healthy lifestyle, body image and sexuality, along with yoga and restorative movement.
Space is limited, and the organization encourages early submission of an interest form, according to the press release.
“Return to Wellness creates a safe, supportive space for survivors of breast cancer to process life changes, build physical and emotional strength, and develop a renewed sense of confidence and connection,” Anna Swift, program and clinical director for CSC SGV, said in the press release.
Participant evaluations demonstrate improved quality of life, reduced anxiety and feelings of isolation, and increased adherence to follow-up care, according to CSC SGV. The organization reports that approximately four million breast cancer survivors in the United States face documented post-treatment challenges including persistent fatigue, anxiety and body image concerns.
“While my friends and family love and care about me, there is something special when you are sharing this cancer journey with other survivors,” one anonymous program participant said in a testimonial included in the press release.
The program was originally developed by the Cancer Support Community in partnership with Huntington Hospital and is now offered through City of Hope, according to CSC SGV. City of Hope is one of 57 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country, according to its website, and operates clinical locations in Pasadena and South Pasadena.
All CSC SGV programs are provided free of charge, according to the organization’s website.
Interested survivors can submit an interest form at cancersupportsgv.org/return-
The registration deadline is April 14.
