Teamsters Local 986 and CSEA Chapter 434 Endorse Felita Kealing for PUSD Board of Education

Teamsters Local 986 and California School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter 434 have endorsed Felita Kealing for PUSD Board of Education District 1, bringing together two labor organizations representing PUSD employees in support of her campaign.

The endorsements reflect support from employees who play essential roles in keeping PUSD schools operating and serving students and families. CSEA Chapter 434 represents PUSD classified employees working across school sites and district operations, while Teamsters Local 986 represents PUSD employees covered by its collective bargaining agreement with the district.

Kealing brings years of experience working alongside PUSD families, educators, and community members. A PUSD graduate, parent, and employee herself, she has served in leadership roles with the Pasadena Education Foundation and the African American Parent Council and has been an advocate for family engagement and student opportunity.

“I’m grateful to have the support of Teamsters Local 986 and CSEA Chapter 434,” said Kealing. “The people who keep our schools running are an essential part of the PUSD community, and their voices deserve to be heard in the decisions that shape our district. I believe in working with employees, families, and educators to build schools where everyone is respected, supported, and able to do their best work for our students.”

Kealing’s vision for PUSD includes supporting educators and school employees, strengthening family engagement, expanding student opportunities, and building strong community schools where every student can thrive.

Felita Kealing’s campaign for PUSD Board of Education District 1 has also been endorsed by Los Angeles County Democratic Party AD 41, Pasadena Arroyo Democratic Club (ACT), and National Women’s Political Caucus Greater Pasadena Area, among others.
