Mayor Victor Gordo Endorses Kimberly Kenne for Pasadena Unified School Board

Mayor says PUSD is “at a crossroads” and needs Kenne’s experience and steady leadership

The Kenne for Pasadena Unified School Board campaign announced the endorsement of Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo, who called 15-year incumbent Kimberly Kenne an essential voice on the board at a pivotal moment for the district.

“The Pasadena Unified School District is at a crossroads,” said Mayor Gordo. “The decisions the board makes over the next few years will shape our schools, and our city, for a generation. At a time like this, we need experience and steadiness, and that’s exactly what Kimberly Kenne brings. She knows this district, she knows our families, and she has shown again and again that she puts students first. I’m proud to support her re-election.”

Kenne has served on the Pasadena Unified School Board for 15 years, working through budget pressures, facilities improvements and enrollment shifts while keeping the focus on student achievement and community trust.

“I’m deeply grateful for Mayor Gordo’s support,” said Kenne.

“The city and the school district share the same families and the same future, and the Mayor has been a strong partner for Pasadena’s kids. With so much at stake for PUSD right now, I’m ready to keep bringing steady, experienced leadership to the board and to keep working for every student in our district.”

The election will be held on November 3, 2026. For more information about Kimberly Kenne and her campaign, visit www.kennforpusd.com.
