Three-day outdoor festival adds Independence Day drone show; $12 daily admission, online only
A three-day outdoor food festival will return to the Rose Bowl Stadium over Fourth of July weekend, drawing more than 200 food, drink, and artisan vendors to the Pasadena landmark from July 3 through July 5, 2026.
FoodieLand Food Festival, organized by FoodieLand LLC, will open Friday at 3 p.m. and run from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, according to the organizer’s official event page. The 2026 Pasadena edition adds a new element to the weekend: a synchronized drone show on Saturday, July 4, billed by Visit Pasadena as a special Independence Day program for festival attendees.
General admission is $12 per single-day ticket, sold online only through Eventbrite. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Children 5 and under are admitted free, the organizer’s site states.
The festival’s Eventbrite listing describes the 2026 lineup as featuring more than 250 vendors offering global flavors, artisan goods, games, and live music. Visit Pasadena, the city’s destination marketing organization, describes the event as featuring “over 200 vendors,” reflecting some variation in how the organizer has marketed the vendor count across platforms.
NBC Los Angeles, in a June preview, identified several vendors set to participate, including Banana Mama, Master Dimsum, Hawaiian Honey Cones, and Yakitori Yado. Grab-and-go participants named in the NBC LA preview include Elaine’s Bread Pudding, The Kobbler King, and Rosella’s Gold Crunch. Shopping vendors expected on the grounds include Kawaii Klaws and Tee No Evil, alongside other artisans selling jewelry, charms, and clothing, according to the same article.
The festival has been a recurring summer fixture at the Rose Bowl. FoodieLand’s most recent Pasadena edition ran July 4–6, 2025. The 2026 Rose Bowl dates are the second stop on the company’s national tour, which is also scheduled to visit Portland, Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, and Charlotte through September, according to FoodieLand’s official tour schedule.
The Rose Bowl Stadium, located at 1001 Rose Bowl Drive, sits in the Arroyo Seco at the edge of Altadena. General parking is free for the duration of the festival, the organizer’s site states. ADA parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rideshare drop-offs and pickups are designated near the event entrance. The organizer notes there is no direct public transit option to the venue.
The festival’s posted entry policy bars coolers, large bags, oversized backpacks, bikes, skateboards, scooters, weapons of any kind, and drones brought by attendees. Permitted bags may not exceed 12 by 6 by 12 inches, and clear bags are encouraged. Only service animals are allowed. Re-entry is not permitted; tickets are valid for single-use entry.
For Pasadena and Altadena residents weighing Fourth of July plans, the festival offers a paid, ticketed alternative anchored at one of the region’s best-known venues. Tickets and the full vendor lineup are listed at foodielandnm.com.
