• The Friends of the Altadena Library presents a free workshop, "Igniting Your Writing-How to Begin" by best-selling author, Dorothy Randall Gray.   Both new and seasoned writers will gain much from her inspired teachings in this stimulating participatory workshop. 2 PM, Altadena Library, 600 E. • Artist's reception for "Circa Sometime," an exhibition of selected works by six artists working in assemblage and collage, at McGinty's Gallery at the End of the World, 2475 North Lake Avenue starting at 4 PM.  Exhibit continues through Jan. 31.
