You are invited to be amazed by JPL volcanologist Rosaly Lopes’ multi-media presentation “Volcanoes I Have Known.” The event will feature slides and live shots showing the power and beauty of erupting volcanic sites and lava flow both on earth and on other planets! Dr. Lopes is a prominent planetary geologist, volcanologist, author of numerous scientific papers and several books, as well as a great proponent of education.

This exciting free program, appropriate for both children and adults, is sponsored by the Friends of the Altadena Library District and will take place in the library’s Community Room on Monday, June 17, at 7 PM.
