Aveson Charter Schools, which presently runs two charter schools at the Noyes school property in Altadena, is trying to start a third in northwest Pasadena.  Brian Charles of PSN says that PUSD staff will recommend rejecting Aveson's petition for a School for the Arts, because it will take up to $2 million away from an already-strapped school district.  Details are here.
