If Nature were like Disneyland,
nobody would get hurt.
And hikers could climb everywhere,
and fall in softest dirt!
Though Eaton Canyon’s beautiful,
it has its tougher side.
One waterfall is safe, serene,
but one can skin your hide.
So if a hilly climb looks tough
declare , and take a pass.
For truth and dare—this has no worth
when crashing head or – – -.
And really people, dress for sport!
Flip flops are not for hikes.
They slip, they slide, and fall right off,
and meet with snakes! Oh yikes!
And even if its hot, oh yes,
short shorts expose that skin,
to insects, sun, and hungry rocks
who sink their teeth right in.
So Happy Trails to hikers all
this is a spot to please.
Though never will you see me here,
in Season of the SNEEZE.
