Honestly, Christmas is less than three weeks away (eek!) but in Altadena, Santa can come a little early.

The Altadena Historical Society can play Santa right now:  order a copy of Michele Zacks’ authoritative history, Altadena: Between Wilderness and City, and have it hand-delivered to the 91001 area code:

Now there’s no need to fill out an order form, stop by or mail in a check.  Just call us at 626-797-8016, leave your name, phone number and address along with how many books you want to purchase. (Books are $53 each) And Santa (or a board member dressed up in a santa hat) will deliver the book right to your door in exchange for a check.  What’s even better is that the books are already gift wrapped!
