Our friends and constant inspiration, The West Seattle Blog, won first prize for “Community Collaboration” in the Online Journalism Awards.  Not only do they work hard for their community, but their website won the award ahead of projects from CNN, CBC, and the Los Angeles Times.

West Seattle Blog, like Altadenablog/Altadena Online, is a home-grown, advertiser-supported news website that not only relies on skilled freelancers, but community collaborators who are interested in keeping their community informed.  Congratulations to Patrick, Tracy, the Intern, and the entire community of West Seattle, who are simply the best at what they do.
