The Arroyo Food Co-op membership approved new board members, a proposition to handle product issues, and met the new general manager of the Co-op’s store.
Mia Dunn, Joe Masiero, Laura Floom Manning, Tricia Keane, and Rachel Reed were elected or re-elected by 100% margins, according to a message from Dunn.
The membership also approved a procedure to address concerns that may be brought up by members about food the co-op provides. That proposition, which involves escalating concerns up the chain beginning with market employees and managers, was approved by a 98.5% margin.
The co-op also introduced Doug Zilm, who was hired as general manager. Zilm was previously general manager of the Silver City Food Cooperative in New Mexico.
The co-op annual meeting took place Saturday, May 18 at the store location, 494 Wilson Avenue, Pasadena.
