7:35 PM: Per scanner, location appears to be Beverly Way.

7:40: seems to be over now.

UPDATE 2/29: Lt. Duane D. Allen of the Altaden Sheriff's Station says it was a call from someone who saw shadows moving, but nothing turned up.
