Michele and Ben McGinty, whose “Gallery at the End of the World” is the center of Altadena’s art scene, will discuss not only the Gallery and its current and upcoming shows, but also Altadena as a vortex for art and artists across our town’s idiosyncratic past. Join us for a discussion about what it is that makes this place such an art magnet, and a look at a few of the interesting characters who have come here to make art. We will also share contemporary and historic images, and take viewer calls the second half of our program, at 626/794-8585.

“Kay Neilsen came to Altadena in 1936 from Denmark, and inspired Fantasia while working for Disney. While among the most famous artists of the “Golden Age of Illlustration,” he struggled to make a living because he worked rather slowly.”)
Michele Zack will be sitting in for Marie Stein on Our Town, Wed. 9 PM, on Charter’s Arroyo Channel 32 (or watch streaming video on your computer at PasadenaCommunityNetwork.com).
