Starting Oct. 10 and ending Nov. 21, the Altadena Libraries offer “Food for Thought”: young readers age 4-12 must check out and read five books from the library, and in return will receive a certificate for a free hamburger or cheeseburger from Inn-N-Out!

Catching up on stuff … we caught this yesterday about 4:15: Altadena deputies block off Tanoble above Altadena Dr. Wednesday afternoon to stop a man who, scanner said, had threatened suicide.  Went into custody, street was back open within a few minutes.
