Young Man Dead in Altadena Shooting, Second Youth Survives

A shooter targeted two young men Monday, killing one and seriously wounding the second, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies.
In a statement, the Department said the shooting occurred at 4:39 p.m. in  the 2100 block of Santa Anita Avenue, Altadena
Both victims were transported to a local hospital where one 18-year-old succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. He was not identified.

The second victim was shot in the lower extremities and transported to the local hospital in an unknown condition.

The suspect was seen shooting at the victims from inside a vehicle. The vehicle description is unknown and he was last seen driving Southbound on Santa Anita Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.
