Pasadena Man Killed on Altadena Drive-By Shooting Identified

The scene in the afternoon of June 11, 2019, as Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives investigated the shooting death of a 19-year-old Pasadena man and the wounding of 17-year-old boy in the 2100 block of Santa Anita Avenue in Altadena

The Pasadena man shot dead by an unknown drive-by killer on Monday, June 11 has been identified by the Coroner’s office as William Harris IV, 19.

Harris and a 17-year-old boy were both shot at about 4:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Santa Anita Avenue in Altadena, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies.

In a statement, the Department said both victims were transported to a local hospital where Harris succumbed to his injuries.

The second victim was shot in the lower extremities and transported to the local hospital in an unknown condition. He has not been named.

The suspect was seen shooting at the victims from inside a vehicle. The vehicle description is unknown and he was last seen driving Southbound on Santa Anita Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.
