At risk teenager goes missing

A 16-year-old diabetic and insulin dependent teenager has been reported missing for the second time in three months from his group home, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Xander Munoz was last seen on the 2900 block of El Nido Drive in Altadena at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Munoz also went missing July 9 and often frequents the Old Town Pasadena area.

He is Hispanic and weighs 138 pounds and is 5’ 8’’ with black hair and brown eyes. Munoz was last seen wearing black shirt and gray sweatpants.

Anyone with information about Munoz is encouraged to immediately contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Altadena Station (626) 798-1131.
