Altadena Families Get a Gift from Altadena Sheriff Station and Hilton Garden Inn at LAX

Altadena Sheriffs Station 11-24-2015

A big thanks to the Hilton Garden Inn LAX in El Segundo for providing a tremendous Thanksgiving meal for 2 Altadena families that are participating in the Altadena VIDA program.

Altadena’s Captain Stuckey, Deputies Walters and Baires, who teach the VIDA program presented the Thanksgiving feast to the families. Altadena is proud to be involved in such a great program.

Vital Intervention and Directional Alternatives (VIDA) is a structured 16-week program for non-violent, at-risk youth between the ages of 11 and 17½. Through collaboration between the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, community-based organizations, volunteers, schools and families, the program teaches youth the value of effective decision-making and taking responsibility for their futures.
