Altadena Deputies Nab 6 Young Burglary Suspects, Recover Guns

Deputies arrested six alleged burglars not yet old enough to drive and recovered an AR-15 and a pistol and in Altadena this weekend, authorities said.
Officials were summoned to a neighborhood in the area of Mountain View Street and Casitas Avenue Sunday afternoon after at least two homes were broken into, according to Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials.
“Within minutes, five people were arrested within the containment,” sheriff’s officials said in a written statement. “With the help of witnesses, multiple LASD resources and prompt deputy skills the investigation resulted in one more arrests during the evening.”
A stolen AR-15, a pistol, ammunition and a pellet gun were recovered. Two more guns reported stolen in the break-ins are still yet to be found.
Officials said the six young suspects, described as 12 to 14 years old, live in a local group home.
