Webster’s Community Pharmacy Launches Beautiful Altadena 91001 Merchandise Line

Iconic Webster’s Community Pharmacy atop Lake Avenue in Altadena is now home to an exclusive collection of “Beautiful Altadena 91001” merchandise line that includes items for the home, apparel and is designed for those who want to show their civic pride.

The locally designed and manufactured items is a true Altadena effort that will also give back to the community by donating proceeds to community partners.

Beautiful Altadena 91001 merchandise will be sold exclusively at Webster’s Community Pharmacy and an official launch party will be held on Saturday to celebrate the beginning of a new community brand.

“There has been some branding for Altadena, but this is the first comprehensive collection,” said Aubin Wilson of Webster’s Community Pharmacy.

“Altadena, it’s a community that takes a lot of pride in its community – we want to show it off and let the world know that Altadena is beautiful. Here we are nestled in the foothills in the San Gabriel Mountains and we’ve got a great story to tell,” said Wilson.

The idea for the Beautiful Altadena 91001 line came stemmed from one item that may residents drive around with on a daily basis.

“This new line is a natural extension of other products sold in the pharmacy including the best-selling Beautiful Altadena license plate holder,” said Aubin Wilson.

The pharmacy’s owners, Michael and Meredith Miller, noticed a demand for the popular license plate frames and were inspired to create a line that would make Altadena proud.

Webster’s trademarked the “Beautiful Altadena 91001″ name last year.

According to Wilson, Beautiful Altadena 91001 offers an exclusive collection of glassware, kitchenware, apparel and more.

“We also have other items that are much more utilitarian,” said Wilson about modern age merchandise such as smartphone cases, luggage tags and bookmarks. “There’s a little bit of something for everyone and at all price points.”

A percentage of proceeds from Beautiful Altadena 91001 merchandise sales go back into the community.

“We’re giving back a portion of the sales to Altadena Heritage, our community partner,” said Wilson. “This is not a one shot deal of giving back to the community. We currently give back to the community in a lot of different ways and this is just one of them.”

The launch of the merchandise was made possible by fellow Altadena businesses who were responsible for the graphic design and printing.

Webster’s already has plans to expand the merchandise line this year which include limited edition products for the holiday season.

“We see this as a line that will be a constant work in progress. We will bring things in, we’ll take things out – it will be a very fluid collection,” said Wilson.

Altadenans can be on the look out for various pop-up-shops at local events where “Beautiful Altadena 91001” merch will be sold outside of the pharmacy.

Webster’s Community Pharmacy is throwing its “Beautiful Altadena 91001″ launch party on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to celebrate and sell the new merchandise at the store located at 2450 Lake Ave.
