United Economic Development Fund’s (UEDF) Community Center Grand Opening in Altadena

On Saturday, November 14th, United Economic Development Fund, Inc. (UEDF) will open the doors to the brand new UEDF’s Community Center located at: 745 E. Altadena Dr. To commemorate this special occasion a ribbon cutting ceremony presented by the Altadena Chamber of Commerce will take place on Saturday, November 14, from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Come enjoy the festivities including refreshments and live entertainment from Pasadena one and only Jazz Zone, Roscoe Owens (www.Jazzzone.net). Come meet the Center’s program directors, while checking out the art on display from local artist, Aldonia Bailey (www.aldonia-bailey.artistwebsite.com). The entire family will enjoy watching the live African dance and drum performance scheduled to take place.

This location will also house UEDF’s Credit Union. The Community Center will offer a variety of youth and adult programs and services including entrepreneur training, arts & crafts, drum and dance classes. The newly renovated space will also offer an African American Heritage Museum, Art Exhibits, and Television Production Studio. The Center will offer emerging artists a platform to showcase their talents in addition to providing banquet room rental space with first-class catering services. UEDF’s Community Center will provide a space that promotes education, economic empowerment, and will offer cultural opportunities.
