Free Concert in the Park at Farnsworth Park with The Hollywood Hillbillies

The Hollywood Hillbillies will be performing at Farnsworth Park in the amphitheater located 568 E mount Curve ave. at 7:00 p.m. this Saturday July 16th. Free admission to this concert.

Chris Johnson and the Hollywood Hillbillies are a Southern California based country band that specializes in music from such legendary country icons as Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard Etc. Performing over 100 dates a year since 2005 at various nightclubs, casino’s, rodeo’s and special events, the band is also a regular in Laughlin, NV at the Aquarius and Colorado Belle Casinos.

Chris Johnson – Lead Vocals and Guitar
Originally from Lakeside CA, Chris started singing and performing at age 12 and at 18, was performing around the San Diego area with “The Border Tones” a local country rock band.

In 1995, Chris started a Musician Production company in Los Angeles that consists of backline rental, studio cartage, touring production, storage, rehearsal rooms and recording studios. His clients include John Fogerty, Van Halen, The Goo Goo Dolls, Don Henley, Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rob Zombie, The Killers, Toto, Pink Floyd, Men and Work. In January 2016, Chris purchased the famous Cowboy Palace Saloon in Chatsworth CA.

Dusty Walseth – Lead Guitar and Vocals
Dusty has been a regular on the club circuit in the Los Angeles area for over 40 years with extensive recording experience in both Nashville and Los Angeles. Dusty has shared the stage with artists such as Ray Price, Jerry Lee Lewis and Ray Charles to name just a few.

Mike Baker – Bass Guitar and Vocals
Mike Baker started his musical career in Santa Barbara, California in 1981 with various local bands and relocated back to Los Angeles to join several working Top 40 bands. Mike then started working the Hollywood club circuit throughout the late 80s/90s with several original bands. In 2,000, Mike worked with country local artists Larry Dean and Kevin Banford and in 2010, joined the Hollywood Hillbillies.

Ben Rushing – Drums and Vocals
Originally from Pasadena, CA, Ben started playing drums at age 14 and at 18 performed professionally with local bands, most notably “The Gas Moguls” in the late 70’s. Recently, Ben has played drums with Billy Ray Cyrus as well as the drummer in bands that have shared the stage with artists, Martina McBride, John Michael Montgomery, Lee Ann Womack, to name a few.
