Christmas Lights Up Santa Anita Park With 2,500 Free Tickets for Children
By EDDIE RIVERA

‘Enchant Christmas’ returns to Arcadia with an expanded holiday celebration and a special invitation for Los Angeles families
The holiday season will shine a little brighter for thousands of Southern California children this year as Enchant Christmas returns to Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, bringing an elaborate illuminated wonderland and 2,500 complimentary youth tickets for local families.
The annual attraction, which runs November 20 through December 27, announced Monday the return of its “Kids Light Up The Night” initiative, now in its second year. The program offers up to two free youth admissions with the purchase of an adult ticket on four selected evenings: November 20 and December 2, 3 and 9.
The initiative is part of a growing effort to connect the large-scale holiday production with the communities surrounding Santa Anita Park.
“Kids Light Up The Night has become a special part of our Los Angeles season,” said Michelle Sanders, vice president of marketing for Social House Entertainment, which produces Enchant. “For the second year, we’re excited to make these tickets available to local kids and give more families an opportunity to experience Enchant together.”
At the center of the attraction is an 80,000-square-foot Christmas light maze, featuring towering illuminated sculptures and a new story-driven adventure, Starlight Flight. Visitors can explore the glowing pathways, skate along an ice trail, enjoy a snow slide and visit Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Seasonal food, entertainment and family activities round out the experience.
This year’s calendar also places greater emphasis on local partnerships and cultural celebrations.
A Holiday Sing-A-Long on December 2 will bring music into the illuminated maze. Night of Honor, presented December 10 by Navy Federal Credit Union, will recognize active-duty military personnel, veterans and first responders.
On December 13, Heritage in Lights will showcase cultural performances and community organizations. LA Galaxy Night follows December 17, bringing the soccer club’s community together for an evening of holiday festivities.
Returning events include Country Christmas, Paws ’n Claws and Family Photo Night Out.
The Arcadia Chamber of Commerce, Discover LA and other regional organizations are also participating in this year’s programming.
Enchant Christmas runs November 20 through December 27 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia. Complimentary youth tickets are available on designated dates while supplies last, with the purchase of an adult admission. For tickets, schedules and additional information, visit EnchantChristmas.com.
