Pasadena Unified Opens Survey on Priorities for Its 2027-2030 Accountability Plan

Pasadena Unified School District has opened a community survey focused on on priorities for its 2027-2030 Local Control and Accountability Plan.

California’s Local Control Funding Formula requires every district to adopt the plan. It sets goals and guides the use of state funding against eight state priorities. It runs three years and is updated annually. Responses will help guide the topics prioritized in upcoming focus groups and community sessions, the district said.

The survey takes about 10 minutes and is anonymous. It is open to secondary students, parents and guardians, and staff, in English and Spanish. Hanover Research, an independent firm working with the district, is collecting responses and reports them only in grouped summaries.

Four in-person sessions follow, the first at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at district headquarters. A draft plan is due in mid-May 2027 and goes to the Board of Education in June 2027.
