Altadena Heritage will hold a hands-on Efficient Irrigation Workshop on Sat., Aug, 29 at the Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Drive form 9 to 11 am. Irrigation contractor Tom Poplin will explain how to retrofit old systems, and a rep from J. Harold Mitchell Irrigation Supply will answer all your questions. The group as a whole will look at what works and what doesn’t in the Community Center’s system. Free to members, $5 to non-members, rsvp to  Altadenaheritage@earthlink.
