Dr. Joy Moore proclaims the Resurrection message at Farnsworth Park this morning.

Easter Sunday awoke with praise, shouting, and preaching this morning, as the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance held its annual Easter sunrise service at Farnsworth Park.  Dr. Joy Jittaun Moore, associate dean of African American Church studies and Assistant Professor of Preaching at Fuller Theological Seminary, proclaimed the Easter message to the more than 200 early risers.

Churches around Altadena and the world will celebrate the most important day in the Christian year today — which is also celebrated with eggs and rabbits to proclaim spring.  The gnomes have redecorated for the occasion.
