Newly-elected town councilman Herbert H. Simmons sent this email to share with his constituents:
happen for the benefit of all.
I am impressed with the citizens of Altadena. When given a chance, you
answered the call. Thank you . . . I am now your newly elected
Councilmember. I will serve this position, with Okorie Ezieme, with
the same dedication that I put forth for the election. It will take
all of our efforts to accomplish our goals, in the same way that I
could not have won this election without you.
As the first step in connecting our community closer together, I am
requesting that all residents of Census Tract 4602 who have not yet
provided me with their e-mail address forward their e-mail address
and any questions to herbert.h.simmons@gmail.com. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Hon. Herbert Simmons
Census Tract 4602

Old old guy said…
Don’t thank me, Mr. Simmons. You could have easily won the election without me. I voted for Mr. Westphal.
I “Googled” you and found out nothing. On the other hand, Mr. Westphal’s long list of involvements and contributions to our community was easy to see from reading Altadenablog and his other on-line record. I’d hoped he’d bring back the wonderful style of representation we had with “Mr. Altadena” Mike Manning.
Oh well. There’s always next year! At least we proved that Census Tract 4602 cared enough to get out to vote. Mr. Westphal, the losing candidate, got more votes than the totals cast in any other single tract, including 4611.
