• Charles White Park will get $300,000 in federal funds for improvement, says this PSN story.
• Dan Abendschein's story on the Whitter Daily News site talks about a reduction in crime in sheriff-patrolled areas — except for the 40% spike in burglaries in Altadena.
• The Altadena Library District has put up a questionnaire for potential board members at their website.  The district board of trustees is looking to fill a vacancy for a term that will expire in 2011.
