The sheriff's department has put out a call for help following the slaying of a man found in Chantry Flats Thursday:

Detectives are currently searching for the victim's vehicle in connection with the investigation. The vehicle is a Silver, 1993 BMW 740, 4-door, California license plate 3XKB366. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau , 323-890-5500.
