Nothing runs like a deer
At about 5:05 three deer traveled west to east on Pinecrest Drive and stopped in front of Noyes Elementary School for a few minutes. I took several pictures then ran to get my grandson, but they were gone when I returned. Thought you might be interested. This is the first incident like this I can recall in the 37 years we have been here.
We’re thinking, maybe they saw the sign that said “Aveson” and thought it said “Venison” …

I’m surprised this is the first time Ken Wilson has seen deer near Noyes.
One mile west on Loma Alta, where I’ve lived for 23 years, we’ve seen groups of mostly 4 and sometimes 6 deer dozens of times. They were probably just done eating someone’s flowers.

Growing up on Winrock off Loma Alta we had a doe in the back yard at supper time. The doe panicked and bolted through a seven foot square plate glass window, over the davenport, out through another window and found it’s way to Porter after leaping a 12 foot drop at the back yard. This was about 1962 and it made the press wires. We got letters from around the world.
