Not much time to nominate Altadena Chamber’s Citizen and Business of the Year
Working with a tight deadline, the Altadena Chamber of Commerce is looking for nominations for next year’s Citizen of the Year and Business of the Year.
The Chamber wants nominations in to the Altadena Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Dr. by Fri., Nov. 30.
Says the Chamber:
The Altadena Chamber Board of Directors has selected a citizen of the year since 1945. The nominees come from local community-based organizations, Chamber members and local residents. The recipients have been honored at a dinner that also names new Board members and a silent auction that benefits a local non-profit organization. As of this writing, we have not confirmed a date for this celebration but you can mark your calendar for late January, 2013.
The criteria for this selection is a person who has made a significant contribution to the community at large. Last year the Board of Directors also agreed to select a Business/Organization of the year subject to similar criteria. We hope you will help us by selecting a new addition to our list of distinguished honorees as there are assuredly many worthy businesses here in Altadena.
Please feel free to nominate a person, business and/or organization that has worked to make Altadena better. The nominees must live in or operate their business/organization in Altadena, respectively, and may not be a current member of the Board of Directors. Please mail, email or drop off your nominations at the Altadena Community Center by the 11/30/12 deadline. Thank you
Last year’s Citzen of the Year was Bill Westphal, and Business of the Year (the first) was Altadenablog.
Chamber nomination form after the jump.
