While it opened last week, the Pasadena Unified School District’s student art show, “No Boundaries,” will be on exhibit thru the end of the month at the Shops on Lake in Pasadena:
The more than 400 artworks displayed in this exhibit were created by kindergarten through twelfth grade students from all twenty-nine schools in the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD). No Boundaries showcases the best student work without limits to the size or media used. No Boundaries also refers to the unlimited creative potential of the students in our district.
Artwork in No Boundaries is not displayed in categories of grade, school, or media as student work is frequently shown; rather the work is woven thematically into a whole. Each artwork in No Boundaries is accompanied by a student statement which gives voice to the hundreds of children and youth whose artwork is a powerful testament to the intrinsic value and educational riches held in the experience of creating art.
In celebration of the fifth year of this event, we gratefully dedicate this exhibit to Alex Schultz, Pasadena High School, Visual Arts & Design Academy Teacher, who first produced and named this exhibit.
