NewTown, the Altadena-based collective of interesting and edgy art experiences, is looking for new members, for as low as $25 for artists:

• Memberships will be matched by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. $ = $$$
• Every $ goes to directly into programs. We won’t waste a penny on silly tote bags, coffee cups or other fodder for re-gifting.
• NewTown reaches out to the arts community, recently working with, L.A. Filmforum, and the City of Pasadena Parks and Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs Divisions.
