Neighbors Building a Better Altadena will meet Friday, Nov. 22, at the Altadena Ale & Wine House, 2329 N. Fair Oaks Avenue with a meet-and-greet from 5-7 PM.
Altadena resident Justin Robertson, who is an M.A. candidate in urban planning at UCLA, will discuss his plan to conduct a study of walkability in Altadena.
According to a release from NBBA, the group will be working with Robertson to conduct a “walkability audit,” to gather information about options, existing conditions, and best practices ” for stimulating retail vitality through pedestrian-friendly improvements.” The audit will focus on the Lincoln Avenue and Lake Avenue business corridors. NBBA will be recruiting volunteers to help with the effort early next year.
