- How to be a jerk: Karen Klemens of Sierra Madre’s Mother Moo Creamery, maker of artisanal ice cream (she’s from Altadena, of course) is holding a “soda jerk summer camp” several times this summer (when we were a kid, it was always lame-o crafts!). Cindy Arora at Hometown Pasadena talks her up about it.
- Go Public: If you missed the premiere of “Go Public,” the documentary of one day in the life of the Pasadena Unified School District, the Armory Center for the Arts’ Conscientious Projector film series will be screening the film on June 13 at 7 PM. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, visit gopublicproject.org
