Altadena-based discount ticketer Goldstar is now moving into Sacramento, says this article in LA Business Journal. This comes after last week’s announcement that the firm is also setting up shop in Atlanta.
- SGV Tribune sportster Jim McConnell has a fascinating story on Ted Husing, who probably invented play-by-play announcing for broadcast sports. Husing started in broadcasting in 1924 and worked in early radio and television until his health failed in 1957. A Pasadena resident, Husing is buried in Mountain View Cemetery.
