Limericks running wild at the Altadena Ale & Wine House. 2. We’re not going to pretend we got everybody’s name here, but the event’s producer, Jan Alejandro, bottom left, was definitely having a good time. 3. Owen stirred the crowd with some favorite Irish ditties (that’s DITTIES with a D!)

by Timothy Rutt

The rhymes (with special sauciness) flew at the Fourth Annual LA Limerick Festival Tuesday night at the Altadena Ale & Wine House.  An elbow-to-elbow crowd gathered to hear infinite variations on the classic five line poem in an event hosted by media personality Mimi Chen.  While good, not-so-clean fun, the event had a serious purpose, raising money for City of Hope and cancer research.
